Top Interior Color Trends of 2021

Over this past year, many people have spent more time at home than ever before! Homeowners have been putting a lot of thought into home design, and have gravitated towards deep, rich tones, and optimistic neutrals to define their space. Industry experts predict that this year will be "all about using color to reconnect to the places and themes that matter most."

Urbane Bronze (Sherwin Williams)

“Urbane Bronze encourages you to create a sanctuary space for mindful reflection and renewal,” says Sue Wadden, director of color marketing at Sherwin-Williams. “There’s also reassurance in its sentimentality, with nostalgic ties to the design of the ‘70s and ‘90s, but with gray undertones that give it a distinctly modern twist.”

Passionate (Sherwin Williams)

Passionate is a rich color that can headline a space all by itself or background a collection of beloved artwork and objects.

Pale Apricot (Sherwin Williams)

This beautiful blush tone "takes the delicate warmth that makes barely-there pink so appealing and gives it a toasty orange undertone."

Jojoba (Behr)

Jojoba offers a calm, misty-morning alternative to the bright, sunny golden-hour, evoking the feeling of gazing through a bedroom window at a coastline covered in fog.

Kalahari Sunset (Behr)

Kalahari Sunset, reflecting a sandy savannah, puts a sophisticated and luxurious spin on primary tones.

Granite Dust (Valspar)

Granite Dust is a neutral tone that can read either warm or cool, and provides supportive space for creativity.

Epoch (Graham & Brown)

Epoch is a deep plum that feels like a personal cocoon. It adores warm, traditional woods and rich metallic finishes.

Transcend (PPG)

A mid-range, sugary brown that has an almost gingerbread undertone: Transcend is described as a "warm, soul-filling bowl of oatmeal on a chilly day."

Misty Aqua (PPG)

Misty Aqua is a personable pastel all about looking ahead to cloudless skies and imagining destinations. Paired with cooler whites and grays, it’s a serene choice for sitting rooms and even kitchens.

Aegean Teal (Benjamin Moore)

An intriguing blue-green that creates natural harmony and invites us to take a moment to reflect and reset, Aegean Teal works great in bedrooms, cabinetry, living rooms, offices, entryways and mudrooms.

Whirlwind (Glidden)

Whirlwind is a versatile pale grey with hints of lavender — an all-time favorite to love for the year to come and beyond.

Aqua Fiesta (Glidden)

Aqua Fiesta is a fresh marine tone - the go-to accent color for 2021! This festive hue will liven up neutral spaces.
